Aglio PlusThe history of garlic has been one of outstanding success. Originally from Asia (where it grows wild), garlic is on of the most ancient cultivated plants. Garlic has been popular since ancient times both as a medicinal plant (there are documents dating back to the times of the Egyptians and Greeks), while it is known that even in Imperial Rome the Roman legionnaires used it to combat bacteria and worms. However, the first scientific data about garlic’s antibiotic qualities were provided by the studies carried out by Pasteur on the plant’s active substances (Allicin, Garlicina, mineral salts and sulphur).
